ETI is specialized into active protection (cathodic and/or electrical) activity. This is an electrochemical technique to protect by corrosion, metallic structures which may be damaged by exposition to an electrolyte environment (such as ground, water, salt, chemical substances, etc...).

When is it convenient?

Using active protection is convenient when the metallic structure has an original dielectric coating( passive protection) , because in this case , active protection must only complete the protection by corrosion, offered by the original coating , with limited costs.

So it’s easy to understand that applying cathodic protection on not coated pipes ( ex…steel) is not convenient , because installation and exercise may be so expensive, and you could not reach the right protection level.
